As a Mississippi wedding photographer, I have the honor of capturing a variety of wedding celebrations, each unique and beautiful in its own way. However, there’s something incredibly special & beautiful about intimate ceremonies. Taylor and Ashton Turman’s wedding day was the perfect, private ceremony for their family. Held at the picturesque Latimer House on the grounds of Mississippi College, their wedding day was the perfect depiction of the love they share & the deep connection they have as a couple.
An Intimate Ceremony at The Latimer House
Choosing The Latimer House for their venue, Taylor and Ashton envisioned a sweet, private wedding ceremony surrounded by their closest family members. The Latimer House is an adorable, historic home located on Mississippi College campus. It was the perfect setting for their private ceremony. The intimacy of the setting allowed for a focus on their commitment to one another, making the ceremony feel all the more personal and meaningful!
Portraits Around the Latimer House
One of the advantages of a smaller wedding ceremony is the flexibility it offers for creative portraits. With Taylor and Ashton, we had the amazing opportunity to explore the The Latimer House, capturing fun and imaginative photos that reflected their personalities and love for one another. Ashton & Taylor were a joy to photograph! And I don’t think Ashton could have made a more beautiful bride. Their ease and laughter with each other made it evident that they are a perfect pair!
A Reception of Joy and Celebration
After the intimate ceremony and portrait session, Taylor and Ashton welcomed their friends to join in the festivities with a small reception later in the afternoon. The Latimer House was the perfect location for everyone to come together, celebrate Mr. & Mrs. Turman, & enjoy some amazing cake!
The Beauty of an Intimate Wedding Ceremony
Taylor and Ashton’s wedding day highlighted the advantages of choosing an intimate celebration. The smaller guest list not only made their ceremony more personal but also allowed us more time to focus on capturing a wide range of portraits. This approach to their wedding day gave us the freedom to experiment and create images that were uniquely ‘them’!
