This beautiful, rainy-day wedding at Bridlewood of Madison was a bit unpredictable, but such a joy to photograph! When I say “rainy day,” I really mean “torrential downpour.” But through it all, Justin and Payton’s positive attitudes turned a stormy day into one of the most memorable and gorgeous weddings I’ve ever photographed! It was such a joy to document this day for the new Mr. & Mrs. Simanek!

Bridlewood of Madison: A Stunning Venue with a Lake and Barn

Bridlewood of Madison is a beautiful venue with gorgeous scenery, a tranquil lake, and a charming barn for receptions. Despite the rain, the beauty of the venue provided a stunning backdrop for Justin and Payton’s wedding day. The rain certainly brought some complications, but it also pushed me creatively to capture unique and beautiful portraits, turning a challenging situation into something truly special.

A Beautiful Couple

Payton was an absolutely stunning bride in her dress from The Bridal Path. She is beautiful inside & out, and was a joy to work with throughout the day! It’s clear that Justin & Payton are a perfect match, & they look amazing together! Even amidst crazy weather, they both made my job so easy & fun!

The Perfect Details

The florals from Fresh Cut were beautiful and brought a nice touch of color to a rainy day! I loved photographing them, especially when paired with the unique details of the wedding. Payton’s shoes, with the cutest white bow, were to die for! The shoes, florals, & stunning invitation suite made for the loveliest detail photos. I also loved the custom figurines of their dogs incorporated into the wedding cakes! I was so excited that we managed to get a photo with the actual dogs, despite the rain! I am always a fan of my couples getting a portrait with their dogs!

A Break in the Rain for Couples Portraits

After the ceremony, the rain finally broke, giving us a chance to capture some truly stunning bridal portraits around the venue. The pause in the rain allowed us to use the stunning outdoor backdrop of Bridlewood, which was the perfect addition to Justin and Payton’s gallery. It was the perfect end to the day that proved that rain can’t keep you from getting stunning portraits on your wedding!

A Fun Reception & Sparkler Exit

The night concluded with the most fun reception that led into a sparkler exit & adorable getaway car! Despite the craziness with the weather, Justin and Payton’s wedding day at Bridlewood of Madison was nothing short of amazing. The rain added a touch of unpredictability, but it also made the day unique and filled with unforgettable moments. It was a wedding to remember, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it!
