This Mississippi wedding at McClain Lodge was a dream!! Joey & Emily are just the sweetest & they had such a fun, joy-filled wedding day! It was seriously the perfect way to end my spring/summer wedding season! So thankful that the Deatons trusted me to capture these memories🤍

PREPARING FOR THE WEDDING

I met Emily & all of her bridesmaids at McClain Lodge! I loved walking in & seeing that everyone was having a great start to their morning! As always, I started off the day by photographing the details! I loved Emily’s colors & could not stop talking about how perfect her florals were!! We also got to capture some fun moments of Emily popping champagne with her bridal party before everyone got dressed-I absolutely love these photos! 🍾

Once everyone was ready, we got Joey & Emily ready for their first look! They chose to read their hand written vows to each other before the first look moment. Joey was so excited to see Emily! His reaction to her was so sweet & I love seeing the joy on both of their faces in these photos!

After the first look, we took care of all the bridal party & family photos! It was definitely a hot summer day, but everyone truly had the best attitude! I was so happy to get all the photos done early because I knew it would give everyone a chance to relax before the ceremony!

CEREMONY & RECEPTION

Joey & Emily’s ceremony was beautiful! McClain is just a gorgeous venue & everything looked perfect! They chose to keep the ceremony short & sweet, and ended it with a confetti exit down the aisle! Joey & Emily had been practicing the perfect dip kiss & it shows (I think I made them dip kiss about 1000 times because they were so good at it 😂)! The confetti photos are some of my favorites from the whole day-I 10/10 recommend adding this into your ceremony if you’re able to!

Once the ceremony was over, we took some beautiful bride & groom portraits of Mr. Mrs. Deaton!! All week, the forecast was showing rain & thunderstorms; yet, somehow, we ended up with a gorgeous sunny day. The light was a photographer’s dream!! 🤍

After portraits we headed into the reception! It was a ton of fun!! This is always the best part of the whole day! Loved getting to see Joey & Emily celebrate their marriage with all their friends & family!

So, so happy for the Deatons & wishing them all the best as they step into this exciting new season of life!! 🎉
