As a wedding photographer in Jackson, Mississippi, getting to capture an intimate & timeless wedding in Fondren was something so special! Braden and Sydney Robinson’s wedding was absolutely lovely-it was classic & elegant, yet so fun, unique, & personal to them. Their small, intimate ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church followed by a formal sit-down dinner at Walker’s Drive-In, an incredible restaurant in the Fondren district, showcased their perfect relationship and the beauty of Jackson!

Getting Ready at a Family Home

Sydney prepared for her big day at her aunt’s house, which was sweet, relaxed, & so much fun! Sarah Evans handled hair and makeup, & could not have done a better job! This time of bridal prep was so relaxed & joyful! I also loved getting to capture all of the beautiful & elegant details of the day!

A Small Chapel Ceremony

The wedding day began in the small chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, a place with significance for Sydney, who grew up in the city. The chapel was absolutely beautiful, with natural light streaming through the windows, creating a stunning atmosphere for the ceremony. The scene looked like a painting! Braden and Sydney chose to keep their bridal party intimate, with just one person each, which added to the sweetness and personal feel of their day. They also chose not to do a first look prior to the wedding ceremony. This choice made the moment Sydney walked down the aisle even more special & memorable.

Classic Floral Elegance

The floral arrangements by William Box Designs were a highlight, featuring classic, all-white designs that added a touch of timeless elegance to both the church and the reception venue. The flowers perfectly accented the day’s aesthetics, contributing to the overall beauty of the wedding day.

A Dinner to Remember at Walker’s Drive-In

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at Walker’s Drive-In. Known for its incredible food and iconic status in Jackson, Walker’s provided a perfect setting for a formal dinner. The choice of venue reflected Braden and Sydney’s desire for a relaxed yet sophisticated reception, allowing them to enjoy an exceptional dinner in a setting that felt both upscale and intimate.

Fun and Classic Portraits

After the ceremony, we captured beautiful portraits in the church and around the Fondren district. It was my first time shooting a wedding in this vibrant area of Jackson, and the unique setting made for beautiful portraits. Braden and Sydney’s chemistry was evident in each shot, showcasing their perfect match and the fun they have together!

A Memorable Bubble Exit

The day concluded with a charming bubble exit, where Braden and Sydney departed in a classic car—a perfect end to a beautiful day. This lovely exit was the perfect end to the sweetest day!
